Hello! I'm Andy Fanton.
I'm a cartoonist-slash-writer-slash-person. I make comics, write things, and generally potter about in the world of words and pictures.
My work has appeared in The Dandy, where I created strips like George vs Dragon, Boo!, Carrotty Kid, Bad Grandad, Stupid Barrio Brothers, and Iykan Si-Yu. At one point I had three strips in a single issue — which felt rather splendid.
I also write about comedy, books, and whatever else takes my fancy. I once reviewed Eric Morecambe's novel Mr. Lonely for this very site, and I've guest-blogged for Trapped by Monsters.
"I can also do a vaguely passable impression of Alan Rickman."
What I Do
I draw cartoons, write comic strips, and occasionally dabble in TV bits and bobs — check out the Fant-O-Films section. I've also run workshops on cartooning and writing, and my comics are free for kids to read online.
If you need a writer, a cartoonist, or someone who can do a vaguely passable impression of Alan Rickman, do get in touch.
Quality management systems are built on the idea that consistency and structured processes lead to stronger outcomes. For businesses navigating increasingly competitive markets, implementing a QMS helps streamline daily operations, reduce risks, and ensure that every workflow aligns with clear objectives. Documentation control, regular auditing, and effective corrective actions are foundational elements that keep organizations on track. When teams understand their roles within a well-defined system, they are better equipped to identify inefficiencies, respond to challenges, and maintain a culture of continuous improvement that benefits both employees and the customers they serve.
A successful quality management approach goes beyond internal procedures; it shapes how an organization is perceived by its clients and partners. Adherence to recognized standards builds trust and demonstrates a genuine commitment to reliability and excellence. By gathering feedback and monitoring performance across products and services, businesses can refine their offerings and make data-driven decisions that support long-term growth. Regular training and employee engagement ensure that knowledge and skills are shared across teams, creating a collaborative environment where innovation can flourish while operational risks remain controlled and well-documented.
Whether an organization operates in manufacturing, healthcare, or any other sector, the principles of quality management remain universally relevant. Standardized workflows, clear communication, and a strong focus on customer satisfaction all contribute to achieving measurable results. A structured QMS helps organizations set realistic goals, track progress, and celebrate successes while remaining adaptable to evolving industry demands. By leveraging expert guidance and building a culture that values consistency and accountability, businesses can position themselves for sustainable success and competitive advantage in their respective fields.
